Walkers!!
If you plan to walk at
night PLEASE wear bright colored/reflective clothing
and bring a flashlight. Outfit your pet with a
reflective collar and better yet, get one which has a built-in
light tube that you can turn on & off. Be safe and
wear clothing to make yourself highly visible OR RISK
CERTAIN DEATH!! Don't take any chances on your
safety in the darkness and help drivers see

Did You Know??
That the construction going on
across the street from the entrance to Hidden
Springs Ranch is the building site for the new Dripping
Springs Post Office? Target completion date is November
2009. |

HELP WANTED! *
The Hidden Springs Ranch
HOA has an opening for an Administrator position.
This is a part-time job that will take
approximately 10 hours of your time per month. Financial
software experience required (Quickbooks preferred).
Responsibilities include keeping financial records,
preparation of monthly reports, bill pay, respond to inquiries
to the HOA published number and attend the monthly Board
Meetings.
This is a great opportunity
for the right person to get involved with the HOA. Rate
of pay varies between $15-$25 per hour based upon
experience.

Dear Homeowner,
Welcome to our first edition of the
Hidden Springs Newsletter for 2009. I do hope your
holiday season was filled with laughter, love and many
blessings. With our new New Year comes a new
President and I, like many of you, hope to see our
economy rebound from the current economical
downturn. We are lucky to live in the Austin area
when you compare it to other parts of the country
but nonetheless the recession is impacting many of
us in our daily lives. Rest assured that the Board
will be very cautious to preserve our capital and
only undertake projects that are absolutely
necessary to the continued well-being of our
neighborhood.
With that being said I urge you to contact the
committee chairman by Sunday, February 8th 2009 if you
would like to have input into the 2009 budgetary
process. Please call or email with any suggestions
for neighborhood improvements.
The Annual Homeowners Association Meeting will be
held on Sunday, March 29th @ 3.00pm. This is your
opportunity to review and provide input to the
activities of the Association. At this
meeting, we also elect a new board so if you are
interested in serving, we would love to hear from
you. We cannot function without our wonderful
Volunteers so please do your part to keep Hidden
Springs Ranch the best place to
live. The Board
has an open door policy. If you ever have any
ideas or suggestions for improvements around Hidden
Springs Ranch please don't hesitate to call the HOA
number or drop us an email.

COMMUNITY POOL
PROJECT

As you drive by, you
have probably noticed some construction activities going
on poolside. Well, the patio area is being
expanded with additional cement (11 ft X 48
ft) and a shade structure consistent with the
existing pavilion (cedar posts & tin roof).
These additions will be on the south end of the pool
inside the existing fenced area. This
project is in response to the Homeowners' wishes
expressed in the early 2008 survey which indicated that
they preferred improvements to be made to the pool
area.
We do hope you get the chance to enjoy the new
shaded area once it's completed. We think it will
be a tremendous benefit for our homeowners who enjoy
some time down by the
pool. | |

Annual Tiger 5K
Run
Hidden Springs Ranch
Subdivision The annual
Tiger 5K Run which raises funds for middle and high
school bands will be hosting their event in Hidden
Springs Subdivision. This event has been
held here for a number of years but for those of
you fairly new to the neighborhood, this event is a fun
one for the whole family and we encourage you to
register and participate. If you're not
feeling quite as athletic, it is fun to come
out and observe the proceedings including the
performance by the marching band!
The actual run will start at 9.00am and
registration begins at 8.00am. You can
pre-register online. After the run there is a
short award ceremony and everything winds
down by approximately 10.30am. During
this time, parts of Broken Lance Drive will be blocked
off to thru-traffic so please plan accordingly.
Participants and visitors will be directed by traffic
attendants to park in the softball fields thereby
reducing traffic through our neighborhood and to
eliminate parking on the streets. For more details
